BOR Essay
The Absence of
Siblings
Does
the order or quantity of one’s siblings around someone impact their personality? Studies have demonstrated through data that
this is true. I am an only child and the
data compliments my characteristics that it suggests of an only child like myself. The characteristics of an only child according
to the research done, suggests and corresponds with my scholarliness, preference
of interaction with elder persons, and the habit of procrastination.
I
demonstrate scholarly attributes and excel in academics. I have a 4.0 GPA through hard work, great
work ethic, effort, a positive attitude, desire, focus, and competitive greatness. My goal is to be the Valedictorian of my class
and I am relentless and perseverant when it comes to accomplishing my goals.
I
tend to interact with older people more cohesively than with my peers. I participate and engage in more intimate and
constructive conversations with adults due to their increased level of
wisdom. As a child, I always found
myself with the adults in the parlor listening contently to a conversation of current
foreign military involvement of our country while the other children played amongst
themselves. I prefer to interact with a
selection of people consisting of greater maturity then with my peers.
I unfortunately
practice procrastination regularly. I
tend to wait until the last minute before commencing my assignments. I get lazy and put it off until the due date
starts to slowly creep up nearer and nearer until finally shocking me and
causing me to perform in a “clutch” fashion.
I have stayed up for excessive amounts of time increments for numerous
of occurrences as a result of this. I
know this is something that I need to start working on conquering in order to
benefit myself but I have already seen improvements in this aspect just by the acknowledgment
of the issue.

the practice of procrastination which all corresponded with the data and
research collected by my instructor. My
opinion on this research was very positive and interesting for you get to see
how your chronological position in the family impacts your character. I now see that I am one of the majorities
amongst only children that demonstrate likewise characteristics.

Reflections On Week One
1) There are no factors that will affect my participation in this class related to the examples stated in the question. Although, I feel that the reliance of excessive technological rescourses is at times inconvenient and confusing, especially for the ones who do not have access to the required technological possession.
2) I am an observer, or analyzer if you will. I pick up positives and negatives from everyone or every situation that I encounter and try to apply or avoid duplicating those things in my life. My eighth grade Algebra Teacher, Mr. Mason, is one of the more significant impactors in my life since he conducted a very effective learning environment in which I thrived and many of my fellow peers whom have shared this same expierience as I have, also share this class with me as well. He was effective at relaying information to us ina simple manner and had routine in which we pretty much followed daily.
3) I am eager about attending this course and have been satisfied so far from what I've witnessed. I believe that I will prosper in this great learning atmosphere and be able to take what I will have learned and apply them to the next Literature course I will be taking which will be preferably AP English. I look forward to learning how to improve upon my ability to read quicker while still sustaining reading comprehension and also improving upon my technological capabilities in preperance for the future education system in which we are headed.

My Six Words
I chose to do this vine presentation because it is a metaphorical and creative way to express my determination, relentlessness, drive, and desire to succeed in all goals that I set for myself. I was pondering about a creative way to do this and to effectively succeed in the assignment to recieve my points at the same time and came up with this. I believe I succeeded in that and worked hard on this. I felt that my assignment was unique and really displayed my personality and mentality when it comes to success and attitude of the process.
